For Upendo Students Who Have Finished Form 4
We are excited to share Upendo’s new Postsecondary Scholarship Program.
This program is for Upendo students who want to continue learning after finishing secondary school (high school).
This may include:
College
University
Trade school
Vocational training
Another approved training program
Why We Created This Program
After finishing secondary school, many students have questions about what comes next.
Some students may want to continue school. Some may want job training. Some may need help understanding the costs. Sponsors also need clear information so they can understand how to help.
This program gives everyone a better path forward.
It helps:
Students explain their plans
Upendo understand what each student needs
Sponsors understand the real costs
The Education & Scholarship Committee review each request fairly
Everyone avoid confusion and surprises
What Students Need To Do
If you want to ask for scholarship help, you must complete an application.
The application will ask about:
Your name and contact information
Your Form 4 results
The school or program you want to attend
What you want to study or learn
Why this program is important to you
How much it will cost
Where you will live
Your goals for the future
Please answer the questions carefully and honestly.
The application helps Upendo and the Education & Scholarship Committee understand your plan. It also helps sponsors learn about you and how they may be able to help.
This Program Is Also About Responsibility
This program is not only about paying school fees.
It is also meant to help each student grow in:
Responsibility
Communication
Planning
Independence
Faithfulness
Readiness for adult life
Scholarships may be approved for a certain period of time. After that, they may be reviewed again to see if support should continue.

You may complete the application online, or you may download and complete a paper copy.

Important
Completing an application does not mean that a scholarship is guaranteed.
Each application will be reviewed. Scholarship help depends on approval by Upendo and whether sponsor funds are available.
For Sponsors
Sponsors can learn more about students who are seeking postsecondary scholarship support. Some students may already be sponsored. Others may still need support.
You may also give to the Postsecondary Scholarship Fund generally. General gifts help Upendo support approved students as needs arise.
