Giving Opportunities
General Fund
Provides flexible support where it is needed most, including housing, food, clothing, medical care, staffing, maintenance, transportation, and other daily operational needs throughout the village.
Rice & Beans Fund
Helps provide nutritious daily meals for every child at Upendo Children's Village. Your gift helps ensure no child goes hungry.
Corn Fund
Corn (maize) is the primary staple food in Malawi and an essential part of nearly every meal served at Upendo. Each year, the village makes a major annual corn purchase to provide a dependable food supply for the children. Your gift helps ensure that nutritious meals are available throughout the year.
Primary Education Fund
Supports the education of children living at Upendo by helping provide school tuition, uniforms, books, supplies, examination fees, and other educational expenses.
Postsecondary Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships for approved graduates pursuing university, vocational, or trade education. Your investment equips young adults with the knowledge and skills they need to build independent futures and positively impact their communities.

What Does My Donation Support?
Meals
Upendo buys quality local produce and also grows vegetables and maize onsite to ensure consistent supply, as well as to teach the children how to farm.
Education
All school-age children are enrolled in school and receive additional educational support from hired, qualified tutors every day. Our aim is to equip the children to excel in their studies.
Tutoring
Two tutors keep forty elementary students at the top of their classes each year. Reducing the 1:100 public teacher to student ration down to a 1:6 tutor focus. Their report cards have shown consistent improvement. Many now rank among the top in their class.
The Children
Upendo Children’s Village is currently home to more than 60 orphaned, abandoned and endangered children. We provide a safe home, medical attention, regular meals, proper clothing, a sound education, and most importantly, the love of God.
The Mamas
The children living at Upendo Children’s Village receive constant loving care and attention from a growing number of on-site house-mothers, teachers, and staff members.
Nutrition
While a nutritious meal is a luxury for most orphaned, abandoned or endangered children in Malawi, every child living at Upendo Children’s Village receives 3 meals a day.
